Psychotherapy is a private and collaborative process with a licensed therapist. Together, you’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences to better understand yourself and work through challenges. Whether you’re feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply need a safe space to talk, therapy helps you regain clarity, build resilience, and find peace of mind.
An individual session usually lasts about an hour, couples therapy typically lasts for 1 ½ hours, and family therapy lasts for 2 hours.
Your therapist will listen without judgment, guide the conversation, and help you process concerns with the goal of healing and improving overall wellness. Each session is personalized to your needs—your therapist will ask about your goals at the start to make sure the process supports your growth.
Psychological consultations focus on understanding thoughts, emotions, and behaviors through therapy and assessment. Our licensed psychologists do not prescribe medication and may or may not provide a formal diagnosis, depending on the purpose of the consultation.
Psychiatric consultations are conducted by licensed medical doctors who can provide diagnoses, prescribe medication, and manage medical treatment related to mental health conditions.
These services can work together. With your consent, our psychiatrists and psychologists may collaborate to support coordinated, personalized care.
The timeline varies based on the type of assessment. Comprehensive assessment reports generally take 4–6 weeks, while screening assessments and mental health certificates are typically available within 2 weeks, after all testing and information have been completed.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. MindPlus goes beyond traditional interventions. Our neuroscience-informed programs directly impact the brain systems that support regulation, learning, and behavior. When the brain and the body work together, you don’t just improve. You thrive.
MindPlus Developmental Services provides comprehensive, neuroscience-informed support through an integrated developmental approach. Unlike traditional therapy that focus on isolated skills, our programs are rooted in brain-based developmental principles.
We combine two complementary pathways of development:
We strengthen the brain-body connection through movement and sensory-based interventions that support regulation and integration.
We nurture thinking and learning systems through structured cognitive experiences that help build executive function and practical skills.
Our Movement program uses exercises backed by the science of brain development to improve client’s sensory processing, emotional regulation, and executive functions. The program holistically targets the six dynamics of brain development to help rewire the neural pathways for development.
Some of us find it difficult to handle frustration, adapt to change, or connect with others. Through functional play, clients strengthen the brain systems responsible for social understanding, emotional regulation, frustration tolerance, and problem-solving.
Our Tutorial Program goes beyond traditional tutoring by tailor-fitting the learning sessions based on your child’s learning style and cognitive profile. By tailoring instructions to your child’s profile, we strengthen comprehension and learning strategies to foster independence and academic confidence.
The Mindplus STEPS Program shifts the story from deficit to progress. True progress happens when the brain develops from both directions:
Bottom-Up Integration strengthens the brain-body connection by using movement-based techniques to support foundational brain functions and improve developmental progress.
Top-Down Strengthening supports brain processing systems through cognitive science–backed tasks that improve attention, planning, memory, impulse control, and executive functions.
STEPS strengthens the brain systems in a structured, progressive way, to give individuals the tools they need to build skills naturally and confidently.
Our approach is open to everyone, but its effects are most visible in individuals experiencing challenges in regulation, attention, or developmental functioning.

Many therapies focus on building specific skills used in daily life, such as communication, academic skills, or daily living activities. MindPlus Developmental Services focuses on the foundational brain–body patterns that those skills rely on. By supporting how the brain processes sensory input, organizes movement, and responds to information, we address challenges at their root rather than at the surface.
This approach does not replace other therapies. Instead, it helps create a stronger foundation that may allow individuals to engage more effectively in the support they are already receiving.
The length and duration of the program typically depends on the program and the concerns being addressed. The Movement program, for example, runs for 24 sessions over approximately 3 months. The STEPS program, on the other hand, runs for 16 sessions done twice a week for two hours.
While this is the standard structure, the programs are guided by each client’s needs, pace, and response to the sessions. Progress is not linear. Some individuals may benefit from additional support, while others complete the program within the standard time frame.
We work closely with clients and families to ensure the programs remain responsive and aligned with meaningful, long-term, change beyond the sessions.
No diagnosis or label is required to benefit from the MindPlus Developmental Services. Some clients come with a formal diagnosis, while many do not. With or without a diagnosis, what we often see are ongoing challenges related to focus, regulation, coordination, or navigating everyday demands. These concerns are often developmental and may affect multiple areas of life.
For example, attention and body awareness typically develop with age. When these foundations are less supported, it can influence learning, emotional regulation, and interactions with others. MindPlus Developmental Services supports these underlying systems through guided, brain-based movement and sensory input.
Rather than managing symptoms in isolation, we work on strengthening what’s underneath.
While a diagnosis is not required, many of our clients experience challenges associated with:
MindPlus Developmental Services does not diagnose. Our role is to support how the brain and body work together through movement and sensory experiences. If you’re unsure whether the program may be appropriate for a specific concern, our team can help you explore whether this approach is a good fit.
Your sessions are led by a team of health-allied professionals with backgrounds in Psychology, Physical Therapy, and Sports Science, all trained in the MindPlus Developmental Services approach.
A unique part of our Movement program is that coaches rotate. This setup supports clients in adapting, responding, and building confidence across varied interactions, while still following one coordinated, personalized movement plan designed specifically for you.
